Michelle Blake, server-extraordinaire/ trainer/ consultant, has worked for almost 20 years within the restaurant industry in many of North America’s most esteemed and recognizable eateries.  Born in Jamaica, where she completed high school, Michelle then moved to the United States in the early 90s to study civil engineering at the University of Central Florida.  During the course of her studies, she realized that she wanted a different path for herself, and set out in search of it.  Since then her path has been one filled with many adventures: paralegal studies, becoming a nail technician, and eventually a real estate agent are among the diverse fields of which Michelle has knowledge alongside her expertise in server-training in the restaurant industry.

Michelle Blake is the author of the W.O.W. Factor! The Journey of a Server-Extraordinaire, and also the developer of the training manual W.O.W. Factor! What it takes to be a Server- Extraordinaire, which she hopes will aid fellow and future servers and other members of the restaurant industry community provide the type of service that keeps guests coming back for more!

Michelle has lived and worked in the restaurant industries of Baltimore, Boston, and the greater Orlando area.  Currently, she resides in Orlando with her daughter, where she writes, consults, trains, and is a server-extraordinaire at the Capital Grille.  (Visit her blog "W.O.W! M'Shell!" -
